Live from CES
I am writing from an eerily large (everything is large here - even the muffins at Starbucks - they are about three times the size of any Starbucks pastry I have seen anywhere else) room in Las Vegas, more exhausted than I can remember being, and this has only been the pre-day of CES…the show really starts tomorrow.
There are more than 100,000 people here, all eager to sample the newest savory electronic treats.
I spent this evening shuttling between parties (I mean “meetings”) and sneaking into press-only events with a Vloggies friend who now works at Cisco. And he had an interesting insight. People, upon staring at my badge, had only two reactions. Either they hadn’t heard of blip.tv or they would essentially stop in their tracks, stare even more intently at the badge, and exclaim, “You are with blip.tv!?! I love blip.tv!” And then they would, without fail, go on for a long while about what a fan they were and why.
I write this because I am - by a long shot - the lay person at the company. All of the cross-posting, syndication, ease of uploading, etc…was built by the development team. And my friend from Cisco said he had never seen anything like the enthusiasm people expressed about blip.tv. So I write this blog post as a toast to the blip.tv development team for totally rocking and for making me proud to walk around with a blip.tv badge. Now, if only it had been good enough to get into the Gates keynote tonight (who knew that was a ticketed event? that wasn’t announced anywhere…)

I second that Dina. Blip does rule, it does kick ass, I’m a huge fan and can’t wait to see what 2007 brings for all of us. Keep up the good work…
